Is David Hasselhoff Auctioning His 14-Foot Statue From SpongeBob?

The gigantic statue of 90’s pop culture icon David Hassselhoff made for the 2004 Nickelodeon film: The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie is coming up for auction.

The statue labeled “Big Dave” is a total of 14 feet long and takes the form of a bigger version of a post Baywatch Hoff in his signature red trunks. In The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, Big Dave is sued as a boat to transport SpongeBob and Patrick back to Bikini Bottom and return the crown of King Neptune back to the sea God himself.

The Hoff took to Instagram to make the auction announcement along with a short clip of him standing on top of Big Dave stating: “Everything goes, including Big Dave,” said Hasselhoff. The bids start at $100,000 USD, though he’s hoping that Big Dave will get as much s $1.5 million USD.

The statue is only one piece of the vast inventory of The Hoff Auction’s memorabilia and will come alongside signed scripts, various articles of clothing, a selection of cars such as a 1961 SL190 Mercedes along with his personal KITT car replica from Knight Rider and even a Baywatch themed pinball machine.

The Hoff Auction will be kicking off its live bidding on January 23rd 2021.
