Watchfinder has just received a very special model of the Rolex Explorer II ref. 216570.
The timepiece is a special order model of the Rolex Explorer intended for the Attack Helicopter Regiment of the British military, who Prince Harry served in back in 2010 eventually leading the young Windsor to commanding his own Apache attack helicopter.
Limited to a quantity of only 48, the timepiece’s military association, as well as its special caseback and its overall rarity, the watch is a highly demanded collectible watch evoking the aesthetic of the Military Submariner or COMEX. This particular watch is only number 4 of 48 with only 3 others known to have appeared at auction.
The currently updated 42mm Explorer II features it signature orange GMT hand, as well as its 24-hr bezel and keeps its water resistance up to 100 meters. The Rolex Explorer II ref. 216570 “Attack Helicopter” is now available on Watchfinder Hong Kong, retailing for $288,510 HKD, roughly $37,212 USD.
