Jordan Peele is officially stepping out of the acting spotlight. The Key & Peele star originally began his career in the movie industry as an actor making appearances on Mad TV sketches, in addition to shows such as Fargo, though presently Jordan Peele is an Academy Award winning filmmaker and is redirecting his focus to working exclusively behind the camera.
Peel comedically explained how he doesn’t take pleasure from seeing himself perform as much as he does directing the projects: “I like watching my movies. I can watch the films I direct; watching me perform just feels like, it’s a bad kind of masturbatory. It’s masturbation you don’t enjoy.” following with, “I feel like I got to do so much and it is a great feeling. When I think about those great moments when you’re basking in something you said that feels funny. When I think about all that, I think I got enough.”
Additionally, Jordan Peele is now working on another horror movie scheduled for a 2022 release though details are currently rare. Peele is also going to be heading up a remake of the classic Wes Craven horror film The People Under The Stairs. In spite of the fact that Peele is retiring from acting we can still find him directing behind the scenes.
