Clarks Originals has reportedly combined forces with Slick Rick for an awesome mini-documentary that honors the Bronx heritage of Slick Rick, in addition to his 30 year long association with Clarks Originals.
The video titled: “Mind-Body-Sole” centers on Slick Rick and covering the landmark locations that are associated with his Bronx upbringing all the way down to Manhattan’s garment district-the area of NYC that gave rise to Rick’s adoration of design, fashion and art. While speaking about his relationship with the footwear brand, particularly the Wallabee, Slick Rick unveils where his adoration for the shoe comes from as well as why he’s been customizing and wearing the iconic shoes since he first got into the industry in the early 80’s.
The video tops off with Slick Rick’s visit military recruitment office where Slick Rick tries to cheer up officials who appeared to be underappreciated or overlooked, providing them a selection of Clarks Originals.
