Has Europol Shut Down The World’s Biggest Dark Web Marketplace?

The largest dark web marketplace in the world, DarkMarket has just been removed from the Internet.

Over 320,000 transactions were conducted on DarkMarket servicing a total of 500,000 consumers prior to an international operation via Europol, which shot down the dark web site. Aside from the arrest of the Australian man who managed DarkMarket, up to 20 servers were taken from both Moldova and Ukraine where regular users of DarkMarket will be found out with the goal of tracking illegal transactions. An approximate total of €140 million EUR, roughly $170 million USD was traded on DarkMarket with the investigation still active as a part of a much larger sting operation on Cyberbunker, known for hosting the dark web site The Pirate Bay.
