The upcoming sequel to the Silence of the Lambs titled “Clarice” has just released its first trailer a full year following the show’s announcement.
“Clarice” will take place in the year 1993, a year following the events of the original film adaptation of the novel. Following the FBI agent Clarice Starling as she comes back to the field with the goal of hinting down sexual predators and serial killers. Originally portrayed by film veteran Jodie Foster and subsequently played by Julianne Moore in 2001’s Hannibal, the torch is now being passed to Rebecca Breeds.
Without too many spoilers the trailer takes a look at the life of Clarice after she comes out of hiding and fully recovered from her experience with the Serial Killer, Hannibal “The Cannibal” Lecter. Clarice then moves on with her investigations alongside her teammates as they pursue more cases that bring her to a group of other criminals.
