Adidas Football following their archive reopening, is preparing to bring back their iconic 1998 Predator Accelerator, which was best known as the silhouette of choice for a late-nineties peak performance David Beckham.
The former English Soccer player who made the boot a staple in his regular wardrobe when he was still with Manchester United and was made synonymous with the original red & white model of the silhouette after being sent off the 1998 World Cup quarter-finals for kicking out at Diego Simeone of Argentina.
The 1998 Predator Accelerator is coming back in 2021 via 2 models, a Grey Six” colorway and a sly “Core Black” colorway with the aesthetic and feel evoking the same identity as the original. The K-leather upper & signature rubber elements located on the shoe’s forefoot are also making a comeback alongside an innovative update to the split outsole giving it a more modernized look.
The shoe is rounded off using classic lace closure & elastic straps on the tongue. One version comes along with firm ground studs as the street-prepared sneakers ate brought together via an active BOOST midsole.
The Predator Accelerator from Adidas is scheduled to-be-released on Jan 15th, 2021 through the Adidas website.
