Netflix’s shuffle play feature, which the company was reportedly testing last year, is all set to make its hyped return to Platforms in the first half of 2021. According to Variety, the company plans to add its latest feature owing to a successful Q4 of Netflix’s earning column. In the beta testing, the users elaborated that the feature will assess your bingeing history, therefore resolving your confusion of the rich series and movie gallery Netflix possesses.
Greg Peters, Netflix COO, said the shuffle play feature would be easing the show-selecting process. He stated that the feature would “indicate to us that they just want to skip browsing entirely, click one button, and we’ll pick a title for them just to instantly play.” Previously, During the feature’s trial run, Netflix has tried to include a “Shuffle Play” button on its profile select screen and a “Play Something” option in its menu bar.
Shuffle Play will mark Netflix’s other attempt to refine the relative content to watch. Last year, it added a “New & Popular” button to the service, which features a mix of new, popular, and upcoming content.
