After the revelation of raising money through IPO towards the end of 2020, Dating app Bumble’s share prices have increased drastically, marking its market value of $13 Billion.
Initially predicted to reach a value of $6 Billion, The trade commencement on Thursday saw the share price surge to $76, making the company worth more than 13 Billion USD in the process. The Dating app’s founder Whitney Wolfe Herd is just one of less than two dozen female founders to be at the head of a U.S. firm at the time of listing.
Founded back in 2014, Bumble became an instant hit due to its unique concept. The concept of allowing women to make the first move was the key to Bumble’s success. Russian Billionaire, Andreey Andreev, was one of Bumble’s early supporters, Financially holding the company in its early days.
