Netflix has officially announced 21st May as the release date of Zack Snyder’s Zombie thriller “Army of the dead.” Fans will be amazed to learn that the film will be hitting the streaming platform in the coming months, with the teaser of the movie slated to drop this week.
The upcoming film sees the lead role portrayed by Dave Bautista and revolves around a zombie disorder in Sin City. The plot follows a group of mercenaries as they battle zombie destruction while trying to perform a dangerous heist. Joining the cast alongside Bautista are Westworld actor Hiroyuki Sanada, Omari Hardwick, Garret Dillahunt, Raúl Castillo, Samantha Win, Nora Arnezeder, Matthias Schweighöfer, and Rich Cetrone.
The film was originally announced in 2008 as the sequel to Dawn of the Dead. However, the film never took off until 2019, when Netflix acquired the title and signed Zack Snyder to Direct the Zombie-thriller film. Zack directed the “Army of the dead” and wrote the screenplay alongside Joby Harold and Shay Hatten, and produced it with Wesley Coller and Deborah Snyder.
