Barack Obama launched a brand new Spotify podcast series, Renegades: Born In The USA. The podcast center of attention is a “long and meaningful conversation” between himself and rock n’ roll icon, Bruce Springsteen over the course of eight episodes.
The hearer will grab an inside glance at the lives of the not likely of friends and thoroughly conversation concerning the ongoing issues of the world. The prime two installment plan of the series has made their way to Spotify and are accessible from 22 February. The following six episodes are awaited to come in the upcoming weeks.
The current president of the United States narrates the advertising trailer for the podcast, setting the tone of the podcast, “On the surface, Bruce and I don’t have a lot in common. He’s a white guy from a small town in Jersey. I’m a black guy of mixed race, born in Hawaii. He’s a rock ‘n’ roll icon. I’m… not as cool.”
Obama records that the rockstar and himself have been on “parallel journeys, looking for a way to connect our own individual searches for meaning, truth, and community with the larger story of America.”
All over the trailer, Obama and Springsteen can be seen delightful in discussing every side of the subject involving the ideals of masculinity and their respective relationship with their fathers. The two also share more light-hearted stories, like their 2017 yachting trip with Oprah Winfrey and Tom Hanks.
In 2019, Obama and Michelle Obama signed the multi-year podcasts deal with Spotify. Renegades: Born In The USA is only just the beginning of podcasts audiences will see the Obamas “develop, produce and appear.”
