Precisely Sony has released its FX3 cine camera. While very similar to the A7S III, this new camera was created to provide those respectively doing video work.
This dense camera features a 4K 10.2MP full-frame sensor, 15+ stops of DRAF, a portable XLR handle (secured in a place where the A7S III’s viewfinder is located), in-camera image stabilization, front and rear tally lamps, a vari-angle LCD touch panel monitor, and uses the FX9’s S-Cinetone color science.
The smaller camera highlights a weather-sealed magnesium alloy body with a built-in cooling fan. The body also sees five 1/4-20 threaded mounting points to be used with several set-ups, including one that includes Sony’s new Airpeak drone.
Valued just slightly more than the A7S III, the Sony FX3 is available for USD 3,898.
