Netflix has shared exclusive footage of late hip-hop legend Notorious B.I.G. ahead of the new documentary, Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell.
Directed by Emmet Malloy and written by Sam Sweet, the film offers fans some insights into Biggie’s Hip-Hop career, his rise to stardom, and some key people in biggie’s path to success, including Sean “Diddy” Combs, his mother Voletta Wallace, Faith Evans, and Lil’ Cease.
Netflix’s video features an interview with jazz saxophonist Donald Harrison who resided in the same neighborhood with Biggie in childhood. Harrison then shares his experience with Biggie, “I was initially trying to groom Chris to be a jazz artist because he was so talented. One of the things that we worked on was putting a snare drum be-bop drumming into the rhythm of a rhyme.”
