Is Apple Looking To Add New Security Attribute Alerting You If You’re Being Tracked?

Apple is hearsay to be gearing up to announce its homegrown tracing device called AirTags someday this year. The new location tech added to its arsenal of cutting-edge products come questions about users’ privacy and protection.

It seems that Apple is functioning to address these affairs in its new iOS drop. According to 9To5Mac, developers of Apple’s newest operating system update have outfitted the Find My app — which permits Apple users to register and find lost devices — with enhanced safety features.

Apple blogger Benjamin Mayo tweeted a screenshot of the recorded safeguard.

Mayo says Apple will use the feature to “prevent ‘stalking’ with AirTags.”

“If someone secretly hides a tag in your possessions, your phone will notice and warn you about it,” he added.

It’s unclear when the new AirTags might be launched or what they will look like. In January, SPIGEN‘s sub-label Cyrill posted — and quickly removed — keyring style protector designs for the as-of-yet unreleased AirTags.
