Netflix went all-out for acquiring the rights of Christian Bale’s thriller ‘The Pale Blue Eye’ at the most recent virtual European Film Market (EFM). According to reports, Streaming giant Netflix spent a whopping $55 Million on a world-wide pre-buy of the Horror-mystery film.
The film will witness Bale reunite with director Scott Cooper, who has wanted to make this film for more than a decade. As the name suggests, the plot will revolve around a series of murders that took place at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point around the time frame of the 1830s. The 47-year old actor will play as the protagonist veteran who examines the mysterious murders with the help of a detail-focused cade, who later becomes world-famous auth, Edgar Allan Poe.
Production of ‘The Pale Blue Eye’ will be set in motion later this year.
