As stated in the reports, players will be able to go back to their historic game saves with the Diablo II reboot.
In a currently updated interview, Diablo II: Resurrected Game Producer Matthew Cederquist said, “Yes! Keep your old save files. Back when we were working on [the remaster], we wondered if the old save files would work, so we kind of shoved it in, and it worked! So yes, your local single-player save files will carry over.” Adding, “[When it worked], we were like, ‘okay, that’s the best feature ever.’”
All set to launch Sony PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, the PC version will particularly highlight the capability to play old saves. Diablo II: Resurrected will be determined by a complete visual revamp with new cross-progression and a shared stash among all your characters.
