According to IGN Poland, Dom Maklerski Banku Ochrony Środowiska (DM BOŚ) recently labelled CDPR’s stock market value as the “most hated studio in the world.” This news shouldn’t come as a shock to gamers and investors since we all know how CDPR failed in handling the most hyped game of the decade- Cyberpunk 2077.
The sales of Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to decline by 43 percent in the first year i.e., from 35 million to 20 million. Within four years, it may go down 30 percent i.e., from the earlier 70 million forecast to 49 million. All these analysis are based on DM BOŚ reports.
CD Projekt Red even though labelled as the most hated studio in the world, is working hard to gain back the trust of their fans and fix their reputation. Recently, with the addition of 2nd big IP, it has attracted millions of players with each IP.
CDPR is working on a new major patch that is expected to be released this month to drastically fix the game issues and bugs on both consoles and PC. It will interesting to see how CDPR handles the game in the coming months, fix their stock value and reputation. A stern management and a challenging amount of work will be needed to even touch the expected 44 million mark.
