A second trailer for the upcoming DC film The Suicide Squad was released a week after the first trailer. The second trailer is action-packed with new characters and less gory scenes. James Gunn first debuted the second trailer on his official Twitter account.
Although it's April Fool's, the only joke here is on the supervillains who agreed to work for Amanda Waller. Brand new #TheSuicideSquad trailer which dropped last night exclusively in theaters! Meet us in theaters August 6! pic.twitter.com/FwbtANOXEX

In the second trailer, being released on April fools day, James Gunn states, “the only joke here is on the supervillains who agreed to work for Amanda Waller.” The new trailer also showcases more scenes from King Shark, who is voiced by Sylvester Stallone.
James Gunn didn’t want to make two trailers precisely the same and focused on providing fans with contents that showcases the film’s different aspects by releasing two different trailers.
DC comics attempt to re-release The Suicide Squad for the big screen under director David Ayers’ supervision. We are glad to hear Margot Robbie’s return as Harley Quinn, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, and Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang. The re-release also brings in new actors in the villain role. David Ayers’ version of The Suicide Squad will be released on 6th August both in theatres and HBO Max.
